The FSU Cultural Events Series brings national and international performing artists and audiences together to experience and celebrate the arts. Celebrating diversity and events planned for everyone. Railroad Square
Hosting more than 80 studios, galleries and small shops, Railroad Square is the creative haven of many Tallahassee artists and other small businesses. Railroad Square operates at its own quaint pace most of the month and then puts on the city's most exciting "First Friday Gallery Hop" on the first Friday of each month. Visit Railroad Square and you'll find a thriving art park filled with galleries, working studios, shops and the only café in town that is built out of a real railroad caboose.

Tallahassee Parks and Recreation

Trails for walking, biking, hiking and horseback riding...Parks for children, for music, for furry friends. Weddings, dates, birthday celebrations and more takes place in these popular spots set among nature, where fountains flow, palms and grasses blow in the wind, and beautiful flowers bloom and birds sing. Love nature, love family time, like quiet places for reflection?  Tallahassee Parks and Recreation facilities offer something for all to enjoy!

Tallahassee Marketplace:

Tallahassee offers a wonderful outdoor marketplace from May thru November 9 am - 2 pm each Saturday in the downtown chain of parks off of Park Avenue and North Monroe Street.  Arts, crafts, food, and music this is definitely worth taking the family and bringing friends to join in a great local vibe and meet some awesome entrepreneurs.

Community Events

Springtime Tallahassee Tallahassee has a tradition in the Springtime Tallahassee Parade!  A Parade, vendors, food, entertainment stages, arts, craft and many traditional meet-ups with friends and family take place downtown along North Monroe street. Arrive early, pick your parade watching spot and visit the Park Avenue and Adams street area for events and activities! This is the Southeast's largest event and voted one of the Top 20 events in the Southeast! Watch for the Tallahassee Board of Realtors float in the event as well!!

Downtown Get-Downs Downtown Tallahassee turns into a giant block party during football season! The Adams Street area is closed down and thousands of people gathe to hear music, entertainment, enjoy food and drinks and breing the kids for face painting and activities. Parents' Weekend is that special time in the fall when families can get better acquainted with the Florida State University campus and enjoy the experience with their student. We celebrate Parents' Weekend with a Circus performance under the Big Top.

We are one of only two collegiate circuses in the United States. A unique tradition on the campus of The Florida State University since 1947, the Circus is a year-round program in which FSU students can participate. Join the FSU Circus as they celebrate 60 years of flips, tricks, tradition and excitement under the Big Top on Florida State University's campus. Performances feature a number of aerial and stage presentations and are sure to be a hit for all ages.

Florida Hiking Trials Month: Sopchoppy River Hike


Red Hills Horse Trials   This three day event will feature horses over three phases: Dressage, Cross-Country, and Stadium Jumping. The 120 acre cross country course was originally designed by Hugh Lochore of Scotland, and is owned by Tallahassee's own Colin Phipps who is a horse enthusiast. The event attracts international and national championship horsemen and amazing champion-bloodline thoroughbreds. It is open to the public and is an amazing event!

Educational Events:

Challenger Learning Center. for Children, Adults. Educational and Hands-On Facility! Planetarium, Space Mission Simulator. Math Science and Technology outreach center. Sharks Premier. IMAX film Sharks follows the most advanced predators on Earth and recreates the actual sensations divers experience when they come face-to-face with these animals.

Downtown Walking Tours By reservation. Entertainment, history and culture in 90-minute leisurely guided walking tours around the historic Park Avenue Chain of Parks. Hear about Tallahassee's rich history, its Deep South customs, people, events, haunts and architecture, between Old City Cemetery and the May Oak, Slight Hills.
